There’s Something
Familiar About All This

There’s Something Very Familiar About All This is a zine celebrating the year 2015, as portrayed in the film Back To The Future II. The zine chronicles the film, highlighting important moments and indexing key futuristic objects. The focus of the zine is to highlight how a lot of the futuristic 2015 predictions (video telephone, video glasses) are actually not far off from what 2012 (the year this zine was designed) is actually like. Playing off of a quote from the film, “There’s something very familiar about all this”, it becomes clear that a lot of the portrayed future does feel quite familiar. The cover is screen-printed on holographic vinyl and the interior content is a double-processed overprint of black laser on top of digital RGB paintings.
